Two and a half years in the making. Labored over in less than favorable conditions.
Ambient Pressure.
SOUNDQ’s third full-length album. The first one I produced myself. The one for which I had to re-think my whole approach to making music.

Before this one, I would sit down at my desk and just do whatever I felt like doing. Play around. With “Ambient Pressure” I had to learn how to do things in 30 minutes. Sometimes 15 minutes. For that, I had to teach myself how to completely visualize what I wanted to do. To carefully plan it in my head, and then, when my 30 minute window opened, execute the process.

I know, it doesn’t sound too romantic, but if it wasn’t for the strict approach, I would probably continue working on “Ambient Pressure” for two more years.

Also, some feelings, some experiences and ideas (most of them really) are transitory. If you’re not quick enough in capturing them, they go away, and you’re left with a piece of music that you constantly improve, but which you no longer understand.

It’s a huge relief to finally be letting go of this one. Hope you find some piece of you in it.
